Dale, you guys need to get further south. We stayed in Torrevieja (just south of Alicante) for a week hanging out with friends before flying out of Valencia. It was nice enough however next time we’re in Spain we’ll definitely spend the majority of our time in the southern areas of Andalucia.

Before Torrevieja, we stayed in the white city of Nerja for a month and loved it. The white villages around there with their craggy cliffs and green mountains are stunning and even Seville had a lot more old world charm than we found around Alicante. If you guys get a chance I highly recommend heading in that direction.
