In reply to <a href="https://www.thebarefootnomad.com/family/rosetta-stone-for-kids-review/#comment-88525">Kellee Burk</a>.

I was wondering that, as well! I see in that beach photo that they were on Isla Mujeres, which is where I first tried to use my beginner Spanish...that island is so full of friendly people who make one feel more comfortable trying out language skills even when they're not very good. Also, unlike Cancun, you can encounter many people on the island who don't really speak English so you have no choice but to try! I'd be very interested to hear if they managed to gain enough proficiency to use more often than English while there.

I, personally, felt like Rosetta Stone was great for recalling vocabulary I'd already learned, but it was still difficult to know how to form phrases and conjugate in the correct tenses from just using that app. I didn't really get conversational until after I went through a couple Warren Hardy courses. I have an especially difficult time learning new languages, though, so maybe others wouldn't need something better than RS. It's fun and engaging, at least.

Hopefully we get the rest of the story!
