With November now upon us, we’re under the gun to get everything sorted out and our stuff packed away as we make way for our next extended jaunt into the unknown. If you want to know what we have planned, feel free to check this post out. If not, we understand. Nothing spoils the magic of unfettered adventure like packing lists and real life to do lists.
If you’re just curious to know where we’re heading and for how long (here’s a hint, it’s going to be a very long trip) then just read the beginning. I promise I won’t bore you too much. If you’re thinking of taking off for your own extended trip, this post might give you an idea of the things you’ll need to take care of before you go…

But enough of that. We want to go there for the ice cream. Here’s why …

As a traveling family, we’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. Some of them one star, some five star, but most in between. While we expect a lot of differences between a five and one star hotel, it’s often surprising how much difference there can be between hotels in the same class.
What are some of the little things that we scan for in hotel reviews that can make the difference between an ordinary stay and a great stay. Find out…

Picking the perfect walking destination is all about finding somewhere that matches your interests and ability level. With its variety of hiking opportunities, balmy climate and historical attractions, Sardinia is somewhere that really does have a wide appeal.
One of the first things that makes Sardinia ideal for walking holidays is its beautiful Mediterranean climate. Typically, the weather is warm and mild in March, April and May, becoming hot throughout June, July and August and then beginning to cool again.
