What makes one person decide to take a chance, and travel around the world for a year, while another decides to stay at home and forgo that opportunity? We take a look at Adam Shepard's new book, One Year Lived

Annoyed and frustrated by overly technical camera reviews? We tested a Canon Powershot D20 waterproof camera for ease of use and both photo and video quality.Check out our hands on review...
Buying a new camera can be incredibly frustrating. You have to sort through the dozens of cameras available, try to make sense of incomprehensible technical reviews and try to find a decent price. It's easy to get so caught up in comparing specs that you put off your purchase until the last minute and then hope that it lives up to expectations.
I think we're like a lot of people who just want to know a few simple things: Does the camera take good pictures and video? Is the camera easy to use? How rugged is it? Is it truly waterproof?

She uses and loves all of these apps (and so do we!).

TripWow's free, and much more than your boring PowerPoint style slideshow. Admittedly, it's pretty over the top, but you can create a flashy mashup of your travel photos online in just a few minutes, complete with maps and music.
The process is pretty simple. Go to TripWow, and choose your slideshow theme, photos and music. You can use your own music, if you prefer, and grab your photos from your computer, Picasa or Flickr.
Once your slideshow is done, you have the option to share on Facebook, by email, Twitter or MySpace (really? MySpace?).

Especially for us, since we're buying travel insurance for a family of four. For six months of travel, we got quotes ranging from $394.94 to $1725.00 for worldwide insurance, including the USA. For trips of 60 days or less, consider getting a ...
