Last year I went to the Tatacoa Desert (Desierto de la Tatacoa) in Colombia and that was a real gem. The rock formations are amazing, not a lot of people and it’s one of the best places to see the stars at night. It’s not a real desert because it rains ‘too much’ to officially call it a desert, but it’s freaking hot nonetheless!
