Thanks for spotting that Coco. We updated the post and double checked everything to make sure all is correct. Was just there last week and Vancouver is still thriving!

Granville Island is not in the middle of downtown - it's across the water from downtown.

Stanley Park does not have sequoia trees.

Just got back from a 2 week vacation in Vancouver and loved every minute of it, almost. We found that Chinatown is getting more and more overtaken by the addicts that frequent East Hastings Street and while nothing happened to us, it was very unnerving and probably worth mentioning as an area best avoided especially after dark.
Stanley Park, the shops, Canada Place, Granville Island and if course the Aquabuses all worth seeing. We stayed in New Westminster with close access to the Skytrain which was incredibly useful. 10 dollars a day gets you unlimited travel all over Vancouver and hotels are a quarter of the cost in the city centre. Would, no we definitely WILL be back!

Good article. I wouldn’t stay in Vancouver, you can stay in great hotels just outside of Vancouver for half the price. A place to also visit is Fort Langley and make sure you eat at Wendel’s, it has incredible food for a great price.

Granville Island is my favorite, glad to see you mention it! And the Grouse Grind is a great way to work off all the delicious treats you might find. We like to visit La Casa Gelato, too, and sample all the crazy flavors!
